Welcome to The Grange Prestonfield Voice, a Substack run by the Grange Prestonfield Community Council (GPCC).
GPCC is an elected body of volunteers who meet monthly to discuss issues affecting the Grange Prestonfield community. These issues encompass place, space, amenity and wellbeing. GPCC works in close contact with Ward Councillors and with the City of Edinburgh Council.
Our ambition is to provide a free monthly newsletter that informs you on what’s happening across the neighbourhoods of The Grange and Prestonfield. This could include local events, volunteer groups, city issues, school and youth group news, relevant planning and transport development, past history, and other things to come.
Consider this a regular round-up, not chasing or breaking news. We’ll endeavour, where possible, to fact-check everything we send you.
All you need to do to subscribe is to click the button below and add your email address to start receiving these newsletters in your inbox. Your email address will be held with GPCC and will not appear publicly.

To send out the best newsletter we can, we need input from the community. This includes residents, businesses, students, associations, universities, and specific interest groups in the area.

GPCC meetings take place on the third Wednesday of each month (excl. July and Aug) from 6:45-8:45pm at:

These meetings are run to an agenda that’s published beforehand on the GPCC website and they are open to the public to attend. Attendees are encouraged to recognise and adhere to the agenda, though. If you’d like something to be included on the agenda, please contact secretary@grangeprestonfieldcc.org.uk.

The Grange Prestonfield Voice (TGPV) is a free online newsletter published by Grange Prestonfield Community Council (GPCC). As a reader, you are invited to subscribe for regular access by submitting personal details to TGPV in the form of contact name and email address. These personal details may be shared with GPCC, which may make occasional contact with you directly, in the conduct of its function as a community council. TGPV and GPCC will not pass your personal details to third parties outwith GPCC, unless you have been asked for, and have granted, your permission to do so.
